Rapper Snoop Dogg Revealed 2020 Will Be His First Time Ever Voting, Says He Never Voted Because He Was Brainwashed
The year 2020 is shaping up to be one for the books. It’s only June, and we’ve experienced an impeachment of a president, Kobe Bryant’s passing, pandemic, protests, and at the end of the year, we’ll be casting votes in the 2020 election.
2020 has also been a long year for Snoop Dogg, who has found himself in a fair share of headlines. Following Kobe Bryant’s passing, Snoop Dogg came under fire for comments that he made about Gayle King in the wake of an interview that the journalist did with WNBA basketball legend Lisa Leslie. In the interview, King asked Leslie if she thought Kobe Bryant’s legacy was “complicated” by the 2003 assault charge. Snoop found the question inappropriate and accused King of attacking members of her own community.
“What do you gain from that? I swear to god, we the worst. We the worst. We expect more from you, Gayle,” the rapper said in the video. “Why y’all attacking us? We your people! You ain’t come after Harvey Weinstein, asking them questions. I get sick of y’all.”
Snoop eventually appeared on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith and apologized to Gayle King with the advice of his mother.
