2 Chainz’s Restaurant Shut Down By The Police

2 Chainz is the co-owner of a restaurant and bar (Escobar Restaurant & Tapas), which was shut down on May 24th for violating the state COVID-19 guidelines.

The restaurant is located in Castleberry Hill, Georgia at 327 Peter St. SW. They received a warning/violation early on May 24th for not enforcing social distancing and allowing more than 10 people in the establishment per 300 square feet.

The police returned later on in the day to find they had not made any adjustments, and they were still operating in violation. Pictures on the restaurant’s Instagram story showed the restaurant was full and people were sitting close together, smoking hookah. When the Department of Health receives a complaint about a facility, they will investigate and verify if the complaint is true to fact. If the guidelines are not being followed, they will provide education on what steps need to be followed. If the facility continues to disregard the guidelines, public safety may be called in & the facility will more than likely be closed.2 Chainz and co-owner, Mychel “Snoop” Dillard have not commented on the situation.
